Shannonside Baits”,   (Mike Kiely and his team),  operate a fishing tackle Store at Clonlara County Clare.

They stock a wide range of fishing products for the everyday angler.

Salmon, trout,  pike, coarse and sea anglers are catered for in this wonderful tackle shop in County Clare. Built up over a lifetime of experience, Mike caught his first fish in 1977 in Croom and that was it………

Over the years Mike has built up a vast knowledge of angling in the Limerick / Clare area and openly and willingly shares the passion and the odd secret with any angler that is interested in learning. Being the secretary of 2 angling clubs and running a tackle shop, angling is never far off the topic of conversation. A very keen angler himself, the shop is a brilliant source of local knowledge and info.

ESB salmon & trout permits are available for all of the local areas,  Mulcair, Lower Shannon and  Castleconnell.

They are also the only shop in the Republic of Ireland to stock the world famous “Chisum Minnows” which have claimed some of the biggest Ferox Trout ever caught on Lough Derg

They also stock fresh maggots, worms, castors and ground baits such as Van Den Eynde, Sensas, Andersons and also brown, white, red, black and yellow crumb plus additives, hemp, corn etc.

One of our speciality areas is frozen bait, we put a lot of time into sourcing the best quality bait we can find and we always carry a good stock of the following:

They are now also offering a tackle rental service if you are travelling or visiting the area and do not have your own equipment with you and fancy a day out.

 Boat hire and ghillie service, is now available for a great day out on any of the great Clare lakes or the majestic River Shannon itself in their 19ft Lake Boat.
