Brick Island Angling was established in 2023 by James Greene. Based in Irelands Hidden Heartlands on the banks of the River Shannon and Lough Ree. Lough Ree is widely known as one of Irelands premier angling lakes and has excellent stock of Pike and Trout. James is a passionate angler and has fished most of his life. Having grown up fishing on the River Shannon and Lough Ree, James has a wealth of local knowledge and can guarantee an excellent fishing experience for all.
James is an active member of the local angling club and has won many competitions over the years. James has also fished overseas in places such as Canada but nothing compares to fishing in Ireland!
At Brick Island Angling we offer guided Pike Fishing and Trout Fishing on our state of the art Tangiri boat or we use our beautiful handcrafted timber boat.

Pike (Esox lucius) are the largest of the freshwater predators and are abundant in Irish waters, pikes inhabit almost every type of freshwater, from cold deep lakes, to warm shallow ponds to muddy rivers.
Pike can grow to a relatively large size, they are recognised by their elongate body, small scales, long head, shovel like snout, and large mouth armed with a large number of very sharp teeth. Pike are most often olive green, shading from yellow to white along the belly.
Pike are a much sought after fish amongst anglers, who appreciate the fish for its strength and aggressiveness and hard fighting nature. Catching a large Pike is the dream of almost every angler.
We practice all modern methods of Pike Fishing including trolling and casting. Live baiting is prohibited by law in Ireland. At Brick Island Angling we adapt our methods to each situation to ensure the best results for all of our customers.

Brown Trout (salmo trutta) are native to Ireland. Typically, brown trout have a brown back, pale belly, lighter coloured sides with black or reddish spots and reddish-brown fins, however they can camouflage themselves by making their skin lighter or darker in colour to match their surroundings.
Trout are a much sought after fish amongst anglers, they are elusive fish and make the hunt much more appealing.
